I wrote this post on Friday after the Knicks won and then forgot to post it before I went to happy hour and then the neighbors came over for tacos and ki…and what I’m saying is the sun is setting too late for much more basketball. Saturday I stood uncomfortably in the sun at 33 Taps and watched these niggas goof it up. I’d say this was the best season of our lives but we actually made it to the Finals in 99 so i’m legally not allowed to say that. I had fun though and I’m very confused about what to do now with four days of no basketball. Self harm has now been postponed til Yankees post season. May the summer rumors light the deadline along the way.

Unless you live off the planet, you know the Knicks are still in it. I don’t have the time nor energy to explain any more than that because today is my only free day from playoffs-induced acid reflux and I intend to enjoy it by plying myself with happy hour libations. All I do is watch basketball, write, read current events and play Harbor Town or whatever it is I’m pouring myself into this week for comfort. These maniacs won yesterday and I now have to decide whether sleeping through two quarters of the game is the actual magic thing I need to do to keep this going. Will I have a mild myocardial infarction before the summer solstice? Let’s dance with the devil!
Basketball has stressed me out too much to drink but I have been seeking the dulcet NY voices of my youth for dopamine. As Thibs and I fight to see another day, I listened to many things that I think are worth noting here in case we do something ridiculous like win again. May the spells we weave today, sew the banners of tomorrow! Play this twice while sipping your favorite beer and turning in counterclockwise rotation while muting SAS pre-game. Be well comrades!
